Things you need to know:
- The Paul Revere House, built in 1680, was the home of the American patriot Paul Revere during the time of the American Revolution. It's located in the North End neighborhood, the city's Italian district
- Paul Revere owned this house from 1770-1800, and the two chambers upstairs contain several pieces of furniture that are thought to have belonged to the Revere family
- On the night of April 18, 1775, Paul Revere (a silversmith at the time) left this house to set out on the ride that later made him famous
- After Revere sold this house, the ground floor was remodeled to be used as shops, including a candy store, cigar factory, bank, and a vegetable and fruit business during various periods
- The house is downtown Boston's oldest building, and one of the few structures that still stands from that period of history
