Things you need to know:
- Trocadéro Gardens is a 10-ha (25-acre) public garden opposite Eiffel tower on the other side of the Seine
- The building on the north end is called Chaillot Palace (Palais de Chaillot)
- The park descends gently from the palace to the Seine and the Pont d'Iéna
- Beautiful trees, quiet walkways and bridges over small streams make it a romantic place to take a stroll
- The highlight of the park is the rectangular pool lined with stone and bronze statues
- The park was established in 1937 for the International Exposition dedicated to Art and Technology in Modern Life
